Jon Boris

Senior Advisory Services Partner

Jon Boris is a founding member of the Jalex Group. Mr. Boris has extensive experience in corporate finance and capital markets and is responsible for transaction sourcing and deal execution with particular focus on the financing and acquisition strategy.

As part of the Ouray investment, Mr. Boris took over as Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for global corporate strategy, financial oversight, and operational oversight. Under his tenure, Ouray quadrupled revenue and increased EBITDA margins to industry-leading levels. While overseeing the Cloudveil investment, Mr. Boris was responsible for financial planning and
budgeting; establishing new strategic partnerships with lending institutions, trade services companies, and international distributors; and working as part of a four-person senior management team to analyze and guide the direction of the company. Additionally, he managed the process of selling the company.

Prior to founding Jalex, Mr. Boris was a member of the Corporate Finance Group of ABN Amro Securities, LLC (previously ING Barings, LLC), where he was responsible for public and private financings and M&A engagements for middle-market firms in the consumer, retail, and leisure services spaces. Earlier in his career, Mr. Boris worked in a similar capacity with EVEREN Securities’ Emerging Growth Group, assisting high-growth companies in the Technology and Business Services sectors with securing corporate financing. 
 
Previously, Mr. Boris was a Vice President in the Debt Capital Markets Group at Prudential Securities, Inc., where he was responsible for the pricing, trading, and marketing of all primary-issue corporate bonds, preferred stocks, and medium-term and structured notes.
 
Mr. Boris holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
